As a senior leader of the digital transformation team at 7-Eleven, Tarang Sethia is responsible for building the Digital & Technology team and driving the transformation of 7-Eleven becoming a Digital first firm. He’s focused on all digital consumer experiences and stakeholders who serve them in the store (store personnel including Franchisees & Store Systems, and Field Teams). He also leads the User Experience and Design Teams that support 7-Eleven International. He is determined to make 7-Eleven’s products and services available whenever and wherever customers need them (#INMYECOSYSTEM).
At 7-Eleven, Tarang launched 7Rewards Points loyalty program which took the loyalty member base from 6M to 17M and increased the loyalty transaction penetration from 2.5% to 11% across North America in 6 months. Additionally, he introduced cashier-less checkout, a first in convenience store retail, through a mobile Scan & Pay program.
Previously, Tarang led transformation with digitization of desktop products at Intuit QuickBooks Accounting and Tax businesses. He credits Intuit as a place where he learned how to focus on customer problems and delight them with simple solutions. Tarang is a 2013 Kellogg School of Management graduate and also has an M.S. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
