Ken Pilot is currently a board member of Lenox Corporation (a leader in the home table top space) and a senior advisor to Beanstalk Ventures, investing in early stage, retail centric technology platforms . In addition Ken is an investor and operating partner to: PredictSpring (mobile platform developer featuring consumer and associate apps, clientelling and modern pos), BackbonePlm(cloud based solution for improving the efficiency of the product development process between design and production teams), Radar (an RFID & computer vision platform built to automate inventory management, analytics and checkout in physical stores)
Crosswalk NYC(a platform that vets customer data through the key social media players, yielding a consumer profile inclusive of all online shopping, watching, listening, influencer following and physical shopping patterns leveraging geo fence capability) and Inturn (a B2B software solution that helps brands and retailers centralize, streamline and optimize their liquidation strategy to drive speed to cash and recovery margin while ensuring brand protection).
In addition to the above, Ken has a consulting practice focusing on advancing DTC methodology through technology and use of space. Ken is currently an advisor/investor to Burrow (an innovative, DTC furniture brand offering products designed and tested for real life situations...the Casper of sofas), CandyTopia(experiential retail) and Naked Retail Group (Providing Retail as a Service for digitally native brands looking to do retail with a partner that supports all operational facets), VisuWall( a marketplace for digital and static marketing, coupled with traffic count/ demographic data that leverages vacant retail storefronts) and Koio a DTC affordable luxury sneaker brand, hand crafting product in Italy.
Ken’s experience includes 13 years with Gap Inc (1989-2002 serving as president of Gap Brand global), a brief stint as CEO of J. Crew, President at Ralph Lauren (2003-5)President at American Eagle (launching Martin & Osa, ‘05-07)co-founder and CEO of RobotGalaxy( Build-a-Bear for boys). And most recently President at ABC carpet and home from 2010 to 2015.
