Ian Friedman is Co-Head of Goldman Sachs Investment Partners (GSIP) Venture Capital & Growth Equity Fund. Ian has invested in many consumer internet and enterprise software companies including Cadre, Care/Of, CompareAsia, Doctor On Demand, Foodpanda, GoEuro, Hubba, Pinterest, Plaid, Ring, ResearchGate, Rothy’s, Shift, SMSAssist, Spotify, thredUP, Uala, Uber and Zola.
Previously, Ian led internet and software investments at a public investment vehicle at Goldman Sachs. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Ian helped build and grow technology companies through his roles as an investor at both Bain Capital and as a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
Ian holds an Honors in Business Administration (HBA) degree from The Richard Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario where he earned the Gold Medal and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.
